There’s more than one way to wake up at Red Wing. Maybe you want to roll out of your tent with the trees overhead, pull your camper into a home base for the weekend, or skip the sleeping bag altogether and settle into a canvas tent and cozy bed that’s ready for your arrival.
With several camping options to choose from, finding your spot is less about picking the “right” campsite and more about figuring out what kind of festival weekend you want. So let’s make it easy. Follow the path, trust your camping instincts, and see where you end up!

Meet Your Camping Match
No Frills Camping
No Frills Camping is for the person who looks at a camping packing list and starts crossing things off. Each 15’ x 15’ grassy campsite accommodates up to six people and two tents, with no cars, water, electricity, or fires. It’s simple, straightforward camping for people who would rather spend their time wandering the festival grounds, catching a set, or finding a shady spot than fussing over their campsite.
Chimney Ridge Car Camping
If having your car parked beside your tent sounds like a pretty good idea, Chimney Ridge Car Camping might be your spot. Each 20’ x 20’ site accommodates up to four people, two tents, and one vehicle, giving you a convenient home base for the weekend. Small RVs are also permitted in this camping area. The area also connects to the festival grounds through trails including the Hill Stage Trail, Gravel Loop, and Gulley Trail, so there’s plenty of reason to explore beyond your campsite.
Chimney Ridge Park & Walk
Maybe you’re willing to carry your gear a little farther if it means having more freedom to choose where you set up. With Chimney Ridge Park & Walk, you’ll unload your gear at the designated drop-off area, park nearby, and walk everything back to your roughly 20’ x 20’ campsite. It’s a good fit for the camper who doesn’t mind a little extra effort to settle into a spot that feels just right.
Glamping
You like camping, but you don’t necessarily need to spend your first hour figuring out which tent pole goes where. Glamping lets you arrive at a canvas tent that’s already set up, with Standard, Premium, and Deluxe packages offering different combinations of beds or cots, bedding, chairs, tables, lighting, fans, and power. It’s still a weekend at Natural Chimneys, just with a little more waiting for you when you arrive.
Z Lot
For some campers, the camping trip starts the moment they turn the key and pull out of the driveway. Z Lot is designed for RVs, campers, trailers, pop-ups, vans, and tent campers, with sites accommodating up to six people and one vehicle. There are no water or electric hookups and no open fires, but quiet, clean generators are permitted, making this a good fit for campers who want to bring their setup along and settle into a familiar home base.
Premium RV Camping
If you’re bringing the RV but would also like a few more comforts at camp, Premium RV Camping gives you room to spread out. These campsites offer water and electric hookups and accommodate up to 12 people, with space for an RV, trailer, or pop-up plus two tents, or up to four tents without an RV. It’s a natural fit for campers who like having a little more space and convenience waiting back at camp after a full day at the festival.
SuperGroup Camping
Some festival crews come in twos and threes. Others seem to arrive with their own zip code. SuperGroup Camping is made for the latter, with space for up to 12 people, water and electric hookups, room for an RV, trailer, or pop-up plus tents, two vehicle spaces, a picnic table, and a fire ring. If your Red Wing crew has a group chat, a shared packing list, and enough people to turn campsite setup into an event of its own, this might be your place.
So, Where Are You Camping?
There isn't one way to do Red Wing, and that's exactly the point. Some campers keep it simple, some bring the whole setup, and some would rather have their tent waiting when they arrive.
Whatever path you followed, your campsite is more than a place to sleep. It's your home base for a weekend at Natural Chimneys, with music, trails, food, friends, and plenty of places to wander just outside your door.
Now that you've found your match, it's time to make it official.
