In the same way that the Red Wing Roots Festival celebrates the roots of Americana music, The Steel Wheels have long been fascinated with the roots of transportation and exploration-through-cycling. Whether it’s jumping out for a group ride before a show in Colorado or pulling all their equipment from show to show for their annual SpokeSongs tours, it’s safe to say they are addicted to bicycles! There is no better way to connect to the outdoors or explore nature than by bike.

The Shenandoah Valley is home to some of the best road and mountain bike riding on the east coast. From spectacular summits, beautiful river roads, or endless miles of singletrack, the area around Natural Chimneys Park offers it all. Plan to join The Steel Wheels, Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition and Shenandoah Mountain Touring on a variety of morning rides during the festival that will offer something for beginners to seasoned riders. These organized rides will have everything you need to have a safe, enjoyable experience surrounded by the some of the best scenery around! To find out more or for any questions please email us.
